Hiking in the Cape
City/Kirstenbosch walks and tour
Ascend Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting). After a brief overview of the sights, a walk to Table Mountain's highest point, Maclear's Beacon, along the sandstone plateau with its fynbos vegetation, will reveal Cape Town's panoramic views. The Twelve Apostles peaks seem near enough to touch and the sandy crescents of Table Bay and False Bay shimmer below. After the descent, enjoy a light lunch and botanical walk through the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. We will take an enjoyable drive through the 'Mother City', with its fascinating history, people and stories, before returning to the hotel.
Cape Point walk and tour
Travelling along the west coast, through Hout Bay and along Chapman's Peak Drive enjoying 'The Fairest Cape in all the World'. Gather all the evidence and decide for yourself on the meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. En route we will encounter local fauna and flora and simply enjoy the wonders of this spectacular drive to the Cape of Good Hope National Park. Following the Gifkommetjie walk in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape sugarbirds and sunbirds flit through the fynbos vegetation. The Cape was made famous by the great Portuguese explorers during the voyages of discovery. Breathe in spectacular coastal vistas, hear stories of shipwrecks and brave sailors. After a picnic lunch, we drive to the Penguin Colony at Boulder's Beach before visiting the naval base at Simon's Town en route back to Cape Town.
Winelands walk and tour
Discover for yourself the quality of the famous Cape wines. Enjoy fine cuisine, spectacular landscape scenery, historical towns and wildlife. We begin with a spectacular walk in the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve which overlooks the 'boutique' town of Franschhoek and the Berg River Valley.
